PRIME FOCUS ADDS 1,000 FUSION SEATS

The company represents 60 percent of the post production business in India, and has plans to grow its European and North American businesses as well. With acquisitions of VTR Group, Clear, Blue, Frantic Films and Post Logic, Prime Focus has set thousands of compositing stations that span three continents.

“As we expand our operations, Eyeon Fusion will provide us with a perfect balance between a backroom power tool and a front room client station,” explains Prime Focus managing director Namit Malhotra.

Derek Moore, creative director at Prime Focus says the 64-bit Fusion has changed the way the studio is able to handle visual effects. “The way it handles 3D space, its great particle engine, and the super fast rotoscoping and keying tools allow us to take a lot of pressure off other departments.”
