The project was directed by Bob Carmichael, father of Maroon 5 keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, and uses his "photographic video" technique, whereby still images are animated and graphically treated to create what resembles a moving diary. In this case, the imagery details the band's trip to Japan and includes both performance stills and those detailing behind-the-scene happenings.

Director Carmichael had full access to the band and chose to tell the story with still frames, capturing their road experience. Denali Productions in Denver was the production company. Radium's director of editorial Brad Wetmore used over 4000 photos to bring the project to life. Graphics and design elements were created by Radium creative directors Limbert Fabian and Danny Delpurgatorio.

This is not the first collaboration between Radium and Maroon 5. The studio also worked with the band under the name Kara's Flowers.
