REALSCAN CONTRIBUTES TO 'BEVERLY HILL CHIHUAHUA'

Realscan captured the entire cast of canines for the movie, working both in pre-production in Los Angeles and on set in Puerto Vallarta. The company delivered highly accurate body and head scans to both Tippett Studios and Cinesite, where the scans were rigged, covered with digital fur and animated.

The models were used in a variety of ways ranging from head replacements to full-body replacements. In one scene, Tippett created as many as 240 digital Chihuahuas using the models supplied by Realscan.  In another shot, in which a German Shepherd and a Doberman square off, the dogs are completely CG.
