Who'sCreative is the brainchild of Jon Lewis and Dwain Schenck, experienced recruiters and owners of ICA Creative, a 10-year-old placement firm that specializes in matching talent with employers throughout the post production and broadcasting industries.

"Creatives need an effective online portfolio Website to prosper in today's competitive marketplace," notes Schenck. "This economic downturn is a challenge to any business person, and a site like Who'sCreative gives people the edge they need to compete and succeed by giving them creative control over the look and feel of their Website, as well as the tools necessary to effectively and economically present their work to their clients and the market at large."

The site helps employers find and micro-manage talent. In addition, creatives have instant access to current worldwide job opportunities and are linked to other artists via social networking tools.
The company's target market includes: motion/designer animators, graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, digital artists, art directors, creative directors, Web and gaming artists/programmers, fashion, ad agency creatives and film industry professionals.

The Website allows users to point their own domain names to their portfolios. When the portfolio is accessed through its own domain name, it becomes an independent site with no Who'sCreative branding. Additionally, Whos'Creative offers a client access (extranet) area for those who need to present their work-in-progress and to share files with their clients in a professionally-presented, password-protected section.

Creatives who sign on to the site can create a detailed profile page, send and receive messages with other members, bookmark favorite profiles/portfolios, apply to listed jobs, develop a customizable portfolio, set up their own Web address on the site, post unlimited images in the portfolio and upload video and audio files. The site uses Web 2.0 technologies, and members can choose between standard HTML slideshows, storyboards, tiled thumbnails, or a scrolling Flash-based gallery.

Users can sign up for the basic service for free, which allows artists to set up a profile and standard portfolio. For $7.50 per month (or an annual subscription fee of $75) the user can build their own portfolio/Website with no Who'sCreative branding.
