WPA PROVIDES FOOTAGE FOR 'YOUNG INDIANA JONES' DVD

The library provided footage covering a number of subjects for almost all of the documentary special features, which total nearly 100 hours, underscoring the combination of education and entertainment that is at the heart of Young Indiana Jones. The special features on the DVD collection include extensive historical documentaries related to the episodes' topics, among them T.E. Lawrence, painter Edgar Degas, British women's suffrage, Eastern spirituality, the political formation of the modern Middle East, the birth of jazz and the discovery of Egyptian treasures.

The creation of these DVDs was a long-term project spearheaded by Lucas and veteran CBS News producer David Schneider. WPA's involvement on this production lasted four years.
