AJA BRINGS KI PRO PORTABLE DISK RECORDER TO IBC
September 10, 2009
AJA introduced Ki Pro at the NAB show back in April. The unit is designed to serve as a bridge between digital acquisition and post production, offering extensive analog and digital connectivity, and the ability to record 10-bit ProRes 422 media that is then immediately available to edit within Apple's Final Cut Studio.

AJA took Ki Pro on a 24-city road show this summer, highlighting its features and garnering feedback. The unit can record hours of media to a removable storage module, and is small and portable enough to sit in an edit bay or connect to a camera and tripod.

For on-set monitoring, Ki Pro provides instant access to multiple display devices simultaneously. SDI, HDMI or analog cameras can easily connect to Ki Pro, which can convert in realtime from SD to HD, or 720 to/from 1080, in full 10-bit quality. Built-in WiFi and Ethernet allows control via a Web-browser or iPhone.

Pricing for Ki Pro is $3,995.
