AJA UPGRADES KONA CARDS VIA NEW SOFTWARE RELEASE
Version 6.5 software provides support for the new Final Cut Studio and
Final Cut Pro 7 applications, as well as for Apple's ProRes 422 (LT),
ProRes 422 (Proxy), and ProRes 4444 formats. The software is available
for download free of charge to current Kona users.
Upgrades include closed captioning support for Final Cut Pro 7, MacCaption, VTR Xchange and AJA TV via QuickTime Closed Captioning Tracks. Full VANC data capture and playback support on a per-frame basis has been added for all Apple ProRes formats.
The Kona 3 (pictured), LHi and LHe now offer support for Avid DNxHD QuickTime file playback and video output, as well as support for AVC-Intra QuickTime file playback and video output.
The high-end Kona 3 has support for Cineform 3D QuickTime file playback and video output. And the LHi model now supports the display of timecode in the control panel, as well as a number of HDMI features.
