BROADCAST EDUCATION ASSOCIATION & AVID PRESENT WORKFLOW PANEL

Both the Borough of Manhattan Community College and Kingsborough Community College use Avid gear - Avid Media Composer, Unity and Pro Tools – as their primary picture and sound editing tools.

Panel participants will include New York City Film Commissioner Katherine Oliver, executive assistant director of the Editors Guild Paul Moore, and A.S.C./co-director of the education committee for the Camera Guild, Sol Negrin. The session will look at the benefits of data-driven workflows and the challenges of organizing production from the camera to the viewer.

On Saturday morning, a roundtable discussion will look at “How Professional Broadcast and Film Workflows Can be Introduced to Curriculum.” It will be followed by a presentation on “Integrating Audio Editing Tools into Your Video Workflow”

After a lunch break on Saturday, a hands-on workshop will look at “How to Use Shared Projects and Contemporary Workflows Like the Pros.” And the afternoon will conclude with another workshop that will look at “Automatic Script Sync Technology.”
