DARK ENERGY SUITE OFFERS CONVERSION, RESTORATION & MORE
Cinnafilm partnered with Digital Film Central (www.digitalfilmcentral.com) to develop de-grain, de-noise, and clean-up functions that are part of Dark Energy. This software platform offers format conversion, restoration, optimization, enhancement, film simulation and retiming tools, all on a single workstation. The two companies worked together to co-develop advanced restoration and optimization modules, enabling grain reduction and noise reduction functionality.
Dark Energy can improve the look of Super 16 and 2-Perf 35. It also allows producers to shoot on lower-quality video formats and still achieve high quality results. Blu-ray masters benefit by the system's ability to eliminating the data payload caused by film grain. And
reformatting and retiming features can help meet exact broadcast standards.
