FX/FINISHING HOUSE CARBON OPENS IN NYC

Designer/VFX artist Walsh and executive producer Devlin have collaborated for more than a decade. The two most recently worked together at Version2 (V2), which closed earlier this year.

Walsh’s career includes time at Riot Manhattan, as well as Liquid Light, which later became V2. There, he served as creative director and senior Inferno artist for the studio’s VFX/motion design division. His achievements include creating the title sequence and graphics for the 2008 Academy Award-winning documentary Taxi to the Dark Side, and winning Quantel’s Artist of the Year award back in 2001.

At Version2, Devlin was head of production for both the editorial and VFX divisions of the company, having started its FX/finishing arm Liquid Light back in 1999.  His career started in advertising before segueing to production and visual effects while at NYC’s Black Logic.

Walsh and Devlin say they are offering a “solution-driven option for our clients, where all the post creative can be completed under one roof.”
