GLOBALSTOR DEMOS EXTREMESTOR-DI VIDEO WORKSTATION
September 12, 2009
It’s the number of card slots, combined with the chassis design, that allows the new ExtremeStor-DI to support various graphics cards and boards, including the Nvidia Quadro FX by PNY series, Red Rocket, and Bluefish444. Also supported are BNC connections for SDI outputs, as well as the Nvidia Quadro Plex 2200 D2 visual computing system, allowing for easy connectivity to projectors.

The system’s 112 lanes of PCI-E can be used to create a very flexible and scalable workstations. ExtremeStor-DI comes in 10-, 24- and 32-drive configurations, as well as in 12- and 24-drive uncompressed 4K-ready configurations. Stereo DPX will also be supported on the new platforms, depending on the configuration. A maintenance-free liquid-cooling solution eliminates the need for an abundance of fans and keeps noise to a minimum. It also helps the system to stay cool even in warmer ambient temperatures.
