OSCAR WINNER MICHAEL MINKLER MIXING AT TODD-AO HOLLYWOOD
May 29, 2009
Minkler will move to the freshly upgraded Stage 1. The company feels that his appointment will help Todd-AO maintain its position as a leader in the high-end feature film market.

Minkler spent 15 years on Stage 1 at Todd-AO West in Santa Monica, and his replacement there has yet to be named. While there, Minkler was recognized with Academy Awards for his work on Dreamgirls (2006) and Black Hawk Down (2001). He also received an Oscar for his sound work on Chicago (2002), which was performed at CSS Studios' Sound One facility in New York City. Minkler is currently mixing Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds with re-recording mixer Tony Lamberti.

The upgraded stages in Hollywood received Euphonix System 5 dual-operator consoles.
