The unit incorporates 1/3-inch 2.2 megapixel 3-MOS imagers for acquiring full native resolution HD images. A 20-bit digital signal processor also enhances the 300’s performance.
In addition to recording AVC-Intra 100 and 50, the HPX300 also records individual frame images in 100Mbps DVCPRO HD and in stand definition DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO and DV. Its interchangeable lens design give pros the flexibility to use a range of broadcast and production HD lenses. The camera has two P2 slots. When equipped with the new 64GB P2 cards record time exceeds that of tape-based systems.
The HPX300 features an on-board 3.2-inch LCD as well as a color viewfinder. Pricing is $10,700.
