AE user group to meet in NY this week

NEW YORK - The New York Chapter of the After Effects User Group will meet on October 28, from 6:45pm to 9:00pm, at PS 41 (116 West 11th St.).

Several guests will talk at the event, including Tim Dashwood of Dashwood Cinema Solutions. A director, cinematographer, DP, editor and stereographer, Dashwood has photographed five feature films, twelve shorts, and countless music videos. He is the creator of the Stereo3D Toolbox suite of stereoscopic post production tools for Final Cut Studio and After Effects.

Ross Shane from Imagineer Systems will give a sneak peek at Mocha Pro, Imagineer’s new tool. Shane is an accomplished motion graphics designer, art director, effects compositor, editor, colorist and post/visual effects supervisor.

And Todd Prives from GenArts will show Monsters GT for After Effects, which offers over 50 unique visual effects plug-ins for creating 2D particles, fluid, fire and time-based feedback effects.
