AES: RTW shows monitoring solutions
November 5, 2010

COLOGNE, GERMANY — RTW (www.rtw.de), a manufacturer and distributor of pro audio metering and control devices, showed its TouchMonitor series at this year’s AES convention in San Francisco. The TouchMonitor series includes the seven-inch TouchMonitor TM7 and nine-inch TouchMonitor TM9. Both feature a redesigned GUI and a touch-sensitive 16:9 high-resolution screen.  The TM9 is available with a 3G SDI digital interface, which can help broadcasters monitor loudness control standards.

RTW is working with TC Electronic, the Denmark-based manufacturer of signal processing solutions, to develop new audio metering products. TC Electronic's Loudness Radar Meter LM5D, which is used loudness management, will be offered as a software option in the TouchMonitor series.

Also at AES, RTW showed its SurroundControl 31960 series, which are made specifically for controlling, analyzing and monitoring stereo, surround sound and multichannel programs. The series combines the metering functions of the RTW surround display devices and the control functions of an eight-channel monitoring controller.
