Cimaglia deploys Avid ISIS 5000

CHICAGO — Cimaglia Productions (www.cimagliaproductions.com) is one of the first to deploy Avid’s ISIS 5000 realtime shared storage system. The full-service production company has offices in Chicago and Boca Raton, FL, and creates content for national television, commercial and corporate clients. The upgrade allows the studio to handle more projects at one time.

Cimaglia Productions is home to four Avid Media Composer editing systems, one Media Composer Nitris DX, and a 4TB Avid LANShare system. The company’s growth led it to look for a new, cost-effective, shared-storage solution that could easily scale. The ISIS 5000 has 24TBs in its base configuration and the storage is available instantly in a realtime, shared-storage environment.

“Cimaglia Productions has been working with Avid and in shared edit environments for years,” notes Matt Cimaglia, CEO and founder of Cimaglia Productions. “The increased collaborative capabilities and flexibility of the new ISIS 5000 were ideal for us as we continue to experience strong demand even through a more challenging economic climate. The way the Web interface is created is brilliant and the design really puts everything right in front of you, easing our learning curve and empowering us to open up online media.”
