May 14, 2010

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY – Focus-Fox Studio, Budapest (www.focusfox.hu), one of the largest post service providers in Hungary, has installed a Baselight Four color grading system in its newly-opened Cinemix DI grading and sound mixing theater. The set-up will be used primarily on feature film projects, and Focus-Fox is hoping to attract filmmakers from Eastern Europe, London and Hollywood.

The Cinemix theater was designed by Toronto-based Pilchner & Schoustal Design Centre and measures 42-feet by 50-feet. Its Stewart screen measures 30-feet by 12-feet, and is paired with a Christie 2K digital projector. The Baselight Four is complemented by a Baselight One assist.

For sound mixing, the theater features dual Digidesign Icon mixing consoles. It complies with Dolby and THX standards.

The company also offers 2K and 4K film scanning, offline and on-line editorial, visual effects, CG services and film recording. The Kodak Cinelabs Hungary film laboratory is also housed in its facility.
