'MONSTER' OPENS SPECIALIZING IN MATCHMOVING
Heading the new operation is Daryl Shail, a post veteran and image processing expert who’s worked in forensic image analysis and enhancement, photogrammetry, film restoration, editorial, motion graphics, and visual effects. Most recently he was matchmove supervisor at Intelligent Creatures, where he managed tracking teams for The Bang Bang Club, Piranha 3D and Nosso Lar.
“Matchmoving is all we do,” explains Shail. “By relieving the studio of the burden of matchmoving, and the associated costs, potential pitfalls and liabilities, we can assist our partners by providing advanced CG integration services that are progressive, accurate, and very cost effective.”
The studios services include: on-set supervision, scene surveying and camera data management, monoscopic and stereoscopic 3D camera tracking and matchmoving, 3D object motion tracking, scene layout, rotomation, image-based modeling, image stabilization, lens distortion correction, media transcoding and pipeline consultation.
