NAB: PANASONIC TO DELIVER NEW P2 READER

It’s compatible with both Mac (OS X) and Windows (Windows XP, Vista) desktop and laptop computers.

The PCD2 supports all P2 card sizes and capacities, as well as all P2 formats and frame rates. With a 64GB P2 card inserted, the PCD2 can offer immediate access to more than four hours of DVCPRO footage or two hours of DVCPRO50 or AVC-Intra 50 footage. A 64GB card can accommodate more than an hour of DVCPRO HD or AVC-Intra 100 content.

Panasonic expects to begin shipping the PCD2 this month for $350.
