Quantel hires three

NEWBURY, UK — Quantel (www.quantel.com) announced several new appointments today. The company has appointed Kristin McCall, broadcast product specialist for the its North American operations. McCall will be responsible for presenting Quantel's Enterprise sQ broadcast solutions, with an emphasis on sports, 3D and news applications. 

She comes to the company from Quantel customer ESPN, where she was a senior editor and part of their creative development program. In addition to being an accomplished editor, McCall is also an experienced broadcast motion graphics designer.

Quantel has appointed Robin Adams to the position of director of sales, Asia Pacific. He looked after systems sales and marketing in EMEA for Autodesk for a number of years, and joins Quantel after a stint at The Foundry, where he was in charge of sales into EMEA, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
 
In his new role, Adams will oversee Quantel's continued expansion of its post and broadcast sales into growing markets.
 
The company has also named Mike Grieve director of sales, EMEA. He comes to the company from Filmlight, where he was sales director.
 
Quantel says it has seen success in the last couple of years despite adverse market conditions, particularly in the number and scale of Stereo3D post and broadcast contracts.
