Soundelux completes work on 'Unstoppable'
November 16, 2010

HOLLYWOOD - Supervising sound editor Mark Stoeckinger and the team at Soundelux recently completed work on Unstoppable , the new film from 20th Century Fox and director Tony Scott.

Soundelux went to great lengths to create realistic sounds for the film, which centers around an out-of-control freight train. The team went to train yards in California and New Mexico to make field recordings, and positioned mics between cars and rails to record specifics. Dynamic braking elements are part of the signature sound that makes up the villain train.
