Assimilate offers V.5.2 update for Scratch

SANTA CLARA, CA — Assimilate (www.assimilateinc.com), which reports a 40 percent increase in sales for the past year, has released an update for its Scratch product.

The company has also released the V.5.2 update for its Scratch dailies, conforming, color grading and finishing system. The current release supports new technologies such as RedColor2, RedGamma2, Red Meta Data (RMD). The update is available for free to Scratch users under the maintenance contract.

With the pending release of Red’s new Epic camera, Assimilate has begun working with 5K test footage shot by some of the first Epic users, including New York’s OffHollywood. Assimilate will ship Scratch with Epic support when Red makes the final SDK available.
