FMC announces FCP X training options

NEW YORK — Training organization Future Media Concepts (www.FMCtraining.com) will be offering three options for Apple’s new Final Cut Pro X application. The educator will provide 45-minute online training sessions; a one-day, hands-off workshop; and introductory and advanced courses, based on Apple's official curriculum when it is released later this summer.

Available July 1, "FCP — A Complete Overview" is a 45-minute online seminar designed to give editors a head start. The session will demonstrate the software's major new features. Pricing is just $10 and the fee can be credited towards future FMC classes or seminars taking place in the next year.

FMC’s "Migrating to FCP X" is a one-day, hands-off workshop designed to help editors dive deeper into the new app. The workshop will cover the entire software operation from capture to output, including workflow and background rendering; content detection and repair; compound clips and the magnetic timeline; and the changes with effects, including color correction. 

The workshop is available July 11 in New York, July 12 in Philadelphia, and July 13 in Washington D.C. The $299 fee for can also be applied to future FMC classes or seminars.

And "FCP X 101 — An Introduction to FCP X" will be offered as a three-day or five-day option. Participants will receive a thorough overview of all features of Final Cut Pro X using a combination of instructor-led demos and supervised hands-on practice. The entire software workflow will be covered, from capture through editing, transitions, motion graphics, color correction, sound finishing, and output.
