IBC: Digital Rapids showing transcoding solutions
September 10, 2011

AMSTERDAM — Ontario, Canada’s Digital Rapids (www.digital-rapids.com) brought its complete range of tools for transforming and distributing media to the IBC show, including the new Transcode Manager 2.0, which is designed for high-volume, automated, multi-screen transcoding.

The 2.0 release represents the next generation of Digital Rapids’ enterprise-class, multi-screen media file transcoding software. It’s built on the new Kayak application platform, and combines high quality, intelligent automation and performance for transforming high volumes of media between dozens of acquisition, production, archive and distribution formats. New features in the V.2 release include logic-driven process automation with rich metadata support; greater deployment flexibility; and scalability beyond facilities into the cloud, with seamless integration between on-premises and cloud-based media processing.

Digital Rapids is also showing a versatile, multi-format ingest and encoding solution in its StreamZHD software application. StreamZHD provides high quality, broad format support and efficient automation for transforming media for applications from post production and archive to multi-screen live and on-demand distribution.
