RALEIGH, NC — Earlier this week, it was reported that 56-year-old video editor William Blankinship was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography. Blankinship had worked on the reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8 via Raleigh-based facility Serious Robots.

“Serious Robots was dismayed and concerned to recently learn of the very serious charges against Bill Blankinship. We had no knowledge of the activities that took place at his personal residence, and our background checks did not identify any issues that would have raised concerns. His position did not involve any access to talent or production for any shows, and his employment with our company has been terminated.”
