London's On Sight adds second Mistika

LONDON — On Sight (www.onsight.co.uk) has expanded ist 2D and stereoscopic 3D capabilities with the purchase of a second SGO Mistika system. The new Mistika is connected to a 64TB SAN, and both systems are capable of 4K playback.

On Sight regularly provides 2D and stereo 3D finishing services for commercials, corporate films, documentaries and feature films. The company also has a camera rental division, Axis Films.

The studio’s second Mistika is already up and running in its Berners Street location, and is being used for editing, conforming, image restoration, compositing, color grading, multi mastering and DCP for both 3D and 2D.  The system serves as the central core for On Sight’s workflow process.

On Sight’s stereo 3D work includes the factual 3D/CGI documentary Flying Monsters 3D, with David Attenborough for Sky's 3D Channel. The project was produced by Atlantic Productions. The studio also posted The Prince's Trust Rock Gala (pictured) in 3D, which was produced by Nineteen Fifteen/3DD Productions. It featured musicians Eric Clapton, Tom Jones and many other music legends.
