Mexico's City 3D upgrades Pablo

MEXICO CITY — Production and post facility City 3D (www.city3d.com.mx) in Mexico has upgraded its Quantel Pablo system to 4K and Stereo3D, making it one of the first facilities in the area to offer 2K S3D capabilities. The upgrade is part of City 3D’s push to offer high quality Stereo 3D production and post services for movies, corporate projects and large events.

The studio is currently posting an S3D trailer for a documentary about the Mexican archaeological site, Tajin (pictured). The studio is also in preparation for a challenging multi-camera 3D shoot and full post production for a music event and soccer match.

Ana Leticia Reyes, GM of City 3D, says “Pablo's interactive realtime operation is perfect for client attended sessions. Our artists also like the Pablo very much. There are not many Pablo artists in Mexico currently but the release of the Neo panel for Pablo has made it much easier for artists to transfer their skills from other systems. We are also training one of our artists to be a Stereo 3D specialist; in fact we have invested a lot in training and will continue to do so.”
