Offhollywood purchases Mistika 4K system
June 6, 2011

NEW YORK — Offhollywood (www.offhollywoodny.com) has become the first facility on the East Coast to purchase a 4K Mistika post production system from SGO. Mistika supports realtime Arri, Red, SI-2K and other native data workflows, and integrates timeline-based editing, conforming, compositing, color grading and image restoration into a complete system. The system’s compatibility with Red Epic and Element Technica's Atom 3D rigs will enable the studio to provide first-rate Stereo 3D production services.

Offhollywood has been working in stereoscopic 3D for several years and provided equipment and support to one of the first 3D features film shot using Element Technica 3D rigs. The company’s S3D workflows, meta-data and media management solutions, and experienced stereo 3D technicians allow it to deliver a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for 3D productions. Offhollywood’s complete list of stereo 3D services includes 3D DI, 3D DCP authoring, and screening in its 35-seat Dolby 3D theatre.

“We’ve evaluated every tool in the marketplace, and some that haven’t even been released yet, and there is nothing even close to Mistika’s 3D toolset,” states Offhollywood co-founder and CTO Mark Pederson (pictured).
