'The Stone Forest' shot on 5D
December 25, 2011
MACAO, CHINA — Director Randall P. Dark recently produced a 3:18 promotional video that was presented during the 2nd Annual Macao China Digital Cinema Festival.

The Stone Forest is a series of limestone karsk formations that seem to emanate from the ground in the manner of underground stalagmites, with many appearing like stands of petrified trees. Dark, along with Yereth Jansen and Giorgio Giacomelli, shot the project in 1080/25p using a Canon 5D and a variety of Canon lenses. Tyfilm.tv cut the video using Final Cut Pro.
