Upstairs adds editorial talent

CORAL GABLES, FL — Upstairs (www.upstairsefx.com) kicked off 2011 with deals that bring the talents of four editors to its team. 

PABLO PIRIZ

Pablo Piriz is experienced at telling stories through commercials. The Uruguayan studied design and was a musician for many years. His credits include work with agency Conill Saatchi & Saatchi and creative director Pablo Buffagni on the commercial Singers, which promotes the Toyota 4 Runner. He has also worked on spots for T-Mobile, Pampers, Coors Light and Puma. Some of his most recent work includes a spot for AT&T titled Legends.

Piriz also contributed to Café Tacuba’s Eres music video, which won “Best Video” in the Latin MTV Video Music Awards.

CELINA MORENO

Celina Moreno first studied graphic design and then she went to the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica de México to study film. She got her start as an assistant editor, and in the past 20 years has worked with agencies such as LatinWorks, Lowe, Ogilvy & Mather, JWT and McCann Erickson Mexico on project for clients such as Clio, Budweiser, Hyundai, JC Penney, Corona and Nissan. 

Her work on Coca Cola’s Time Lapse was honored at the Pantalla de Cristal Festival. Her long-form work includes editing one of the stories by Alejandro González Iñárritu in the film Amores Perros

EZEQUIEL SARUDIANSKY 

 
 
Ezequiel Sarudiansky is an editor as well as a director, with experience working in Latin America, the US and Europe. In his native Argentina he studied graphic design in the University of Buenos Aires. He also went to the New York School of Visual Arts, where he participated in a broadcast design workshop. His credits include work for Visa, Rexona and DirecTV, and work with agencies TBWA\Chiat\Day, Saatchi & Saatchi, Lowe and BBDO. 

JUAN FONTANA


Born in Argentina, Juan Fontana has always had a close relationship with film as a medium. He studied industrial design before enrolling in film school, and today enjoys working on humor pieces, with small text, many gestures.

His work includes spots for Nike, Sony Cybershot, HSBC, Honda, Movistar and LG. The piece he did for the Mexican store Steren, with director Rodrigo Sikander, won the award for best advertising campaign in the Pantalla de Cristal Festival in 2006. In 2010, his work on Peugeut’s Full Tank was chosen as a finalist in the same competition.
