December 7, 2012
STUDIO CITY, CA — Rick Larimore has joined Media City Sound (www.mcsound.com) as VP of post production. The move follows many years working as a mixer, sound designer and studio owner.

Larimore spent the last four years as owner and principal of Jet Stream Sound in Universal City, CA, where they did audio post on films, television shows, games and Web projects. Prior to that, he was director of sound at ElektroFilm in Burbank. He’s also worked as a mixer at both Warner Bros. and Fox.

Larimore got his start in 1987, working as a loader and recordist at Mix Magic in Hollywood. He later went on to work at Chace Productions, 4MC and Sunset Digital.

Media City Sound is a full service audio post facility within the AECG collection of companies. The facility is home to five Pro Tools-equipped mix studios, and two edit bays featuring voiceover booths. The company offers all aspects of audio post, including 5.1, 7.1, and stereo mixing, sound design and sound effects editorial.
