SANTA MONICA — Escape Studios is offering month-long Summer VFX Bootcamps at a special introductory price of $500 — a significant discount from its regular tuition. 

There will be two sessions taking place: one from July 9 to August 3, and the other from July 23 to August 17. Camps will be held from Monday through Thursday from 10am to 5pm, and will include three breaks during the day.

The first two weeks of the camps will be dedicated to learning the basics of VFX production, including tracking, particle effects, texturing, lighting and rendering. The second two weeks will focus on compositing, with students learning rotoscoping, keying and color correction techniques. The bootcamps are open to those 18 and older.
