HPA event to revisit workflows

HOLLYWOOD — On October 10, The Hollywood Post Alliance Sales Career Resource Group (SCRG) will present On-Set Dailies: WTF? Part 2. In July, On-Set Dailies: WTF (What’s the Flow) looked into the workflow conundrum and solutions facing networks, creatives and studios. The conversation continues with On-Set Dailies: WTF? Part 2 and will also focus on where the flow is headed. While Part 1 asked the question, “What’s the Flow?” Part 2 asks, “What’s the Future?”

On-Set Dailies: WTF? Part 2 will delve into the roles that facilities, cameras and editorial play in on-set services and the battle for the future of post facilities, services and jobs. WTF? Part 2 will feature a renowned group of panelists, including: Larry Chernoff, CEO, MTI; Michael Cioni, CEO, Light Iron; Steven Poster, ASC, Cinematographer, President International Cinematographers Guild Local 600; Tom Vice, Vice President, General Manager, nextLAB, FotoKem; David Waters, Vice President of On Location Services, Technicolor; and Joachim Zell, Vice President Image Science/Remote Services and Technical Director, Deluxe. The panelists are looking to share their knowledge, which has been built on real world experience encompassing a variety of dailies systems. The discussion will be led by Leon Silverman, General Manager, Digital Studio, Walt Disney Studios, and President, Hollywood Post Alliance.

The On-Set Dailies: WTF? Part 2 Panel Luncheon will take place at the Beverly Garland Hotel in North Hollywood on October 10th from 11:30am to 2:00pm. Registration (www.hpaonline.com) for the event is $60 for HPA Members and $80 for Non-Members, and includes a buffet lunch.
