In The Groove helps Budweiser kick off NBA season
January 6, 2012

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — In The Grove Music (www.inthegroovemusic.com) was recently called on by St. Louis based advertising agency Cannonball to create original music for First Day Of Season, a new Budweiser spot that counted down the 12 days leading up to Christmas and the NBA season.

WATCH THE SPOT

The spot featured actor Owen Wilson, Entourage’s Emmanuelle Chriqui, five time NBA champion Steve Kerr, and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, along with Chicago’s Luvabulls dance team. Music group LMFAO provided vocals for the basketball-themed soundtrack, which In the Groove co-founder Darren Drew says was composed in just a matter of hours.

Tool of North America produced the project, and School’s John Devries handled the edit. The Vanity handled online and VFX, and Notch provided color correction. Pirate Radio/TV mixed the project and handled sound design.
