RE:Vision offering new Avid, Vegas plug-ins
April 6, 2012
SAN FRANCISCO — RE:Vision (www.revisionfx.com) offers software for creating high-quality, slow-motion shots without the need to rent a high-speed camera. Twixtor software synthesizes new frames by warping and interpolating frames of the original sequence using tracking technology that calculates motion for each individual pixel.

The company is showing Twixtor 5 for Avid systems at this year’s NAB show. Users of Media Composer, Symphony and NewsCutter can now employ Twixtor 5 as a plug-in. The Twixtor 5 AVX2 plug-in adds 10- and 16-bit internal image support and is as much as 40 percent faster than Version 4. In addition, both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Media Composer, Symphony and NewsCutter are supported.

Pricing is $329.95 and an upgrade from a previous Twixtor for Avid systems version is $82.49.

Re:Vision is also introducing its first Twixtor plug-in for Sony Creative Software’s Vegas Pro nonlinear editing application. The plug-in is compatible with Vegas Pro 10.0d and up and supports both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the software.

Pricing for V.5 is $329.95, though a special introductory offer of $265 is taking place through July 31.
