'Taken 2' to be released in Dolby Atmos format
LOS ANGELES — On Friday, Twentieth Century Fox’s new film Taken 2 will open in theaters and will be presented in Dolby Atmos, the company’s new theatrical sound format. The film’s soundscape aims at taking audiences into the bustling streets of Istanbul.

Dolby recently conducted an interview with the Taken 2’s Dolby Atmos re-recording mixer, Chuck Michael. Michael takes viewers behind-the-mix, detailing how Dolby Atmos helps put audiences in the driver’s seat during an dramatic car chase scene, as well as in the action of a firefight.
