Jim Hannafin joins MTI Film, looks to grow restoration business

HOLLYWOOD — MTI Film (www.mtifilm.com) has appointed Jim Hannafin senior VP for business development. He brings more than 25 years of senior level experience in post production to the company and will focus on growing the MTI Film’s film preservation and restoration business, both domestically and globally. MTI Film’s recent work includes 4K restoration of Lawrence of Arabia for Sony Pictures.

Hannafin previously served as director of global business development for Reliance Mediaworks. His focus there was also on film preservation and restoration, and in developing strategic relationships with studios, content owners and service providers. His career includes senior sales positions with Ascent Media, Fotokem and Deluxe Laboratories. Early in his career, he served as chief financial officer for Technicolor.
