NAB 2014: Vizrt announces Cinema4D integration

LAS VEGAS — Vizrt (www.vizrt.com), provider of content production systems for the digital media industry, announced new integration with Maxon’s 3D (www.maxon.net) modeling, painting, rendering, and animation software, Cinema 4D. The integration allows projects from Cinema 4D to be directly imported into Viz Artist and includes Cineware, the new live link update tool.

Cinema 4D scenes are imported directly into Viz Artist without the need for Cinema 4D to be installed on the Viz Artist workstation. 3D objects are imported either as their direct primitive object counterpart in Viz Artist or as meshes.

Cineware, the new live link update tool integrated into Viz Artist, allows designers to make changes to a scene in Cinema 4D and see the changes updated live when Viz Artist is set to on-air mode. Cineware updates objects as well as container properties such as position and scaling.

Vizrt is showing the Maxon Cinema 4D integration with Viz Artist and Viz Engine at its booth and reports that the integration will be available to customers with the next release of Viz Artist and Viz Engine.
