BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA — Commercial post house AVI Studio (www.avistudio.sk) recently upgraded its finishing suite with the addition of an SGO Mistika system. The Mistika replaced the company’s existing Avid DS system and will be used for color grading and finishing.
AVI Studio has been posting high-end commercials for more than 20 years. Its clients include Istropolitana Ogilvy, Mayer/McCann-Erickson, MUW Saatchi & Saatchi, VCCP, Creo/Young and Rubicam, and Wiktor Leo Burnett. The studio had been using Avid’s DS for the last 15 years.
“We started our research to find an appropriate solution to replace our existing system, and found that Mistika is the ideal solution to meet all our needs with its speed and functionality,” says AVI Studio's production manager, Daniela Zipajova. “We met the SGO guys at NAB last year, where we made the final decision to invest in SGO's technology.”
Zipajova says the level of support that SGO offers, along with its consistent pace of development, also influenced its decision t invest in the new Mistika system,

Some of AVI’s recent work using the Mistika system includes the O2 Telefonica Christmas campaign, the Hyundai Autumn campaign, Telekom HW TV spots and projects for Dovera/Health Insurance and Pilsner Urquell.
