Accomplished editors open new boutique in Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA — Executive producer CL Weaver and editors Kirk Baxter, Eric Zumbrunnen and Matt Murphy recently joined forces to launch  post boutique Exile (www.exileedit.com). Editor Conor O’Neill (Foxcatcher) and editor Paul Kumpata round out the roster.

The team’s collective credits include feature films (Gone Girl, Foxcatcher, Her, The Social Network, Where the Wild Things Are, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Adaptation, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Being John Malkovich, Moneyball), documentaries ( The Big Easy Express, Crossfire Hurricane, Murderball) and spots for brands such as Nike, Apple, GE, Gap, Adidas, Audi, Coca-Cola, Reebok, Calvin Klein, EA, and Google.



Exile’s team members have collaborated with directors that include David Fincher, Spike Jonze, Lance Acord, Bennett Miller, Mark Romanek, Nicolai Fulgsig, John Hillcoat, Noam Murro, AG Rojas, The Malloys, Martin De Thurah, and Andreas Nilsson. Their agency work includes collaborations with BBDO, Wieden+Kennedy, Venables Bell & Partners, 180LA, TBWA\Chiat\Day, Anomaly, Droga5, and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.

“Our business model is simple,” notes Baxter. “We are a group of editors that love editing. We plan on continuing to offer our best efforts to those we have supported for years, as well as hopefully making a few new friends along the way.”
