Chainsaw showcasing Media Composer/Baselight workflow

LOS ANGELES — Chainsaw (www.chainsawedit.com) editor (L-R) Randy Magalski and colorist Andy Lichtstein are demonstrating the “live and interactive” workflow they use to conform and color prime time television series in a special presentation sponsored by Avid and FilmLight during this year’s NAB 2015 show, slated for Tuesday, April 14 at 11:30am at the Avid booth (SU902).

The presentation will focus on Chainsaw’s Avid Media Composer/FilmLight Baselight BLG workflow, which provides all the features of Baselight within an Avid timeline. According to Chainsaw, this workflow gives editors and producers the ability to keep a cut live and malleable far deeper into the post process than traditional methods.

Magalski and Lichtstein will also discuss their workflow in an NAB session entitled “Editor to Color and Back Again: Workflows for Editors and Colorists,” also scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, at 9:30am in North Hall meeting room N258. Both events are part of NAB’s Post|Production World Conference.

Chainsaw is part of the SIM Group (simgroup.com), a supplier of production equipment, workflow and post production solutions, with offices across the US, Canada and China.
