LOS ANGELES — FotoKem (www.fotokem.com) has invested in Avid Artist|DNxIO interfaces to accelerate production of their 4K projects. The interfaces will be paired with Avid Media Composer video editing software.
FotoKem is a long-time Avid customer. The studio’s credits include features such as Interstellar and San Andreas, as well as the primetime television shows Better Call Saul, Homeland and Dancing with the Stars. With an increasing number of film and television productions being captured in 4K and Ultra HD formats, the studio felt it needed a solution to deliver high-resolution projects quickly and efficiently.
The Avid Artist|DNxIO interface was launched back in April and delivers high-resolution video ingest, editing, monitoring, and output. Built on the Avid MediaCentral Platform, the Artist|DNxIO interface is compatible with any Avid Artist Suite solution and many third-party creative tools, including Blackmagic Resolve, Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
