K Street Post upgrades with Pablo Rio

WASHINGTON, DC — Boutique post house, K Street Post, has purchased a Quantel Pablo Rio 2KO color and finishing system, which replaces its long-serving eQ finishing system. Pablo Rio will sit at the heart of K Street Post's end-to-end post production workflow. The studio works on local and regional commercials for clients that include the Washington Times, as well as on public service announcements for the USO.

Pablo Rio runs on high performance PC hardware and exploits Nvidia Maximus multi-GPU technology to deliver realtime performance at 4K 60p and beyond. Pablo Rio is also available as a software only release and as a range of Quantel-backed turnkey systems.

"My success with Quantel's eQ system really was the main factor to continue with Quantel and the new Pablo Rio,” notes K Street Post owner/artist, Paul London. “Quantel is constantly bringing out improvements to its systems. They are always staying on top of the latest formats and trends and by having a Pablo Rio, so am I. My Pablo Rio is beautifully engineered. There is a precision to Quantel systems. The Pablo Rio has a very uncluttered, elegant layout to the various menus and the picture quality is the best in the world. Why would I not want that for my clients!"
