Red announces HDR-2084 output solution

IRVINE, CA — At this year’s IBC 2015 show in Amsterdam, Red (www.red.com) announces HDR-2084: a live HDR output solution that unlocks the ability to simultaneously monitor both the standard dynamic range and high dynamic range images of the same shot on-set — in realtime. Seeing more of what your sensor captures — from the deep shadows to bright highlights — unleashes all new creative possibilities and improves workflow efficiency. HDR-2084 is exclusively available via the REDCAST module, and meets the leading HDR standard: SMPTE 2084.

Additional products launching at IBC include a new 120GB Red Mini-Mag and a newly configured Weapon Redvolt Expander, which allows shooters to hot-swap their Redvolt XL without powering off the camera. New peripheral options for Weapon, Epic and Scarlet include an enhanced, high-resolution EVF and a small format, high-resolution 4.7-inch Touch LCD, perfect for run-and-gun shooting.

Joining Red’s current OLPF selection is the Standard OLPF for Red Dragon sensors. This OLPF provides a versatile day-to-day shooting option that will give a natural color rendition in a variety of lighting conditions.
