Sonic Union adds to team

NEW YORK — Audio post shop Sonic Union (http://sonicunion.com) has expanded its business development and post production team by bringing on board Randee Bowman and Laura Bermudez. Bowman will lead all Sonic Union business development initiatives, while Bermudez joins in a new role of producer, promoter and connector.

Bowman’s background as a sales representative includes work for Sound Lounge and Click 3X. She also has experience creating and executing marketing strategies and events for brands spanning technology, consumer services, nonprofits and creative production.

Bermudez brings over a decade of experience as an editor on commercial and interactive projects at production, post production and ad agencies alike. She previously collaborated with B-Reel, Psyop, Vevo, Decon, Bikini Edit, and Mother. Bermudez sharpened her editorial while studying film production at Bard College and got her start as an assistant editor at Version2. She later worked on a myriad of commercial projects at BlueRock before transitioning to freelance editorial work. She has cut branded pieces for Verizon, Google, Budweiser, Crayola, and Samsung, among others, and also worked Kanye West’s interactive short film Cruel Summer.

“Randee is proving to be instrumental in her ability to help our company expand into new areas and explore future opportunities,” notes Sonic Union partner Adam Barone. “Her fresh energy and desire to create great experiences in post production has been warmly welcomed.

“Laura brings a ‘special ops’ aspect to Sonic Union with her prior background as a freelance editor, and being well-regarded in the business. She’s been a friend and then a client and now is part of our family.”
