Sound Ideas releases two new SFX collections

TORONTO — Sound effects publisher Sound Ideas (www.sound-ideas.com) has released two new collections. Voice Kit Sound Effects is a three DVD release that was recorded in stereo at 24-bit/96kHz. It features the voices of babies, children, teens, adults and seniors, all of whom came in to the Sound Ideas recording studio to contribute to this wild line collection of more than 18,000 effects.

Voice Kit also includes vocal Foley (laughs, coughs, burps, gasps, groans, grunts, screams, yells, yawns, sighs) from all the voice artists, offering a total of 850 adult vocal Foley effects and 209 baby and child vocal Foley effects. Specialty voices in the collection include auctioneers, broadcasters, dispatchers, monsters, aliens, munchkins, opera divas and zombies.

The company’s new Wind Sound Effects collection comes on two DVDs and features 200 wind sounds originally recorded at 24-bit/96kHz. Each sound effect is a full two minutes in length.

A range of winds varies and includes light, low, medium, heavy, whistling, whipping and gusting. Both urban and rural settings are represented. Additional sounds include that of broken branches and blowing debris, hurricane strength disasters, eerie howling canyon winds, bitter cold arctic blasts, and some gentle breezes.
