Eyeball & Modus Operandi become 'Modop'

NEW YORK — Eyeball and Modus Operandi have merged to become Modop (www.modop.com). Eyeball has been around for more than 20 years and specializes in motion graphics, particularly broadcast rebrands and launches. The studio has locations in New York, Miami, and Venice, CA. Modus Operandi is five years old and was set up by former Zoic talent. As a creative agency, they excel in the digital space, working on Websites, development, and social media campaigns.

While there will be no changes to the LA office, Modus Operandi now benefits from Eyeball’s New York presence. Post caught up with Modop executive creative director/partner TJ McCormick and managing director David Edelstein at the Promax BDA show in New York recently. The Modop team had recently completed work on a massive NBC/Universal upfront package that used “reach” as a theme to redefine the media company’s capabilities.

Modop also helped launch NBC’s new streaming video-on-demand service Seeso. The studio had less than six months to complete the assignment for its January launch and continues to provide updates.

Modop relies on Adobe After Effects for design and Autodesk Maya for CGI. Founding partner and president of Modus Operandi, Jeff Suhy, will remain as president of the newly formed company.
