Zoic opens New York VFX studio

NEW YORK — Emmy-winning visual effects house Zoic Studios has opened a new studio in New York. The company’s third office is being led by veteran VFX producer Colleen Bachman, who serves as EP. 

Zoic’s new studio spans 3,000 square feet and is located in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen. The facility will handle VFX and Flame finishing for projects across TV, commercials, films, games and experiential. A robust pipeline allows the studio to collaborate with both the Los Angeles and Vancouver offices.

The New York studio will fit up to 30 artists and reunites EP Colleen Bachman with veteran VFX supervisors Jeff Wozniak and Nate Overstrom. The trio formerly worked together at Look Effects. Bachman most recently serving as executive producer of film and television at Psyop, where she worked on the Golden Globe-winning feature Joy and the upcoming Zoolander 2. She boasts over 15 years of experience in the visual effects industry.

Zoic’s commercial division is working on campaigns for Grey and Hasbro. Its episodic division is working on a diverse slate of series, including the Season 4 of Cinemax’s Banshee, the debut season of the Cinemax drama Quarry, and NBC’s new drama series Blindspot.
