NEW YORK CITY — SIM Group’s (simgroup.com) Post FactoryNY has appointed Rob Sciarratta as senior colorist. Sciarratta is a five-time winner of the International Monitor Awards for Best Color Correction and will lead the company’s color projects, beginning with the upcoming Tom Cruise film American Made, slated for September release.
In addition to his work at Post FactoryNY, Sciarratta will continue in his role as an adjunct professor at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he teaches color correction. His recent work includes contributions to the Blumhouse Film’s franchise The Purge: Election Year, and the HBO miniseries The Night Of, as well as commercials for AT&T, Coca-Cola and Mercedes. Sciarratta also posted Beyoncé’s Ghost music video.
Post FactoryNY provides post production services for the television and film industry. The studio recently worked on the Oscar-winning documentary O.J.: Made in America, American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story, and Season 2 of Master of None.
