Timber honored for Kendrick Lamar's Humble VFX

SANTA MONICA, CA — Timber’s (www.timber.net) creative team is celebrating its first MTV Video Music Award with the recent win for its work on Kendrick Lamar’s Humble. The video took top honors for “Best Visual Effects.” Timber’s VFX contributions elevated the surrealistic nature of the music video, holding a powerful artistic presence throughout.

The video was produced by Freenjoy, with Dave Meyers directing. Arcade’s Greg Scruton cut the project, with Ryan Andrus assisting. 

The Timber team included creative directors/partners Jonah Hall and Kevin Lau; executive producer Sabrina Elizondo; head of production Melody Alexander; senior producer Tita Poe; associate producer Brack Hightchew; lead Flame artist Brian Shneider; Flame artists Todd Mesher, Chris DeCristo and Chris Hommel; Flame assistant Brandon Harden; compositing artists Jason Forster, Michael Loney and Geronimo Moralez; and rotoscope artists Hilery Johnson, Brandon Harden and Austin Lewis.
